Archive for May, 2007My company is gone and the house is so quite. I can’t believe the two weeks are over. We did a lot of things didn’t we, and had a great time. I guess the time goes fast when you do so many things. There were still a lot of items on our list that we didn’t get to do. That’s ok we get to do those next time they come. I think I will go out on Private CamZ tonight and see who is out there and do a little catching up. Join me if you can and let me know how your past two weeks have been. Luv & Kisses
It is the last full day we have together, my company leaves tomorrow afternoon. They’ve been wanting to go on the Casino Boat since they arrived. I was able to get reservations for the first sail at 11am. The Casino boat is a lot of fun, they have great shows and singers, the food is pretty good and the drinks are reasonable. The boat and food are free, you just pay for your drinks and what you put down from gambling. I’m not much of a gambler but it is fun to put a few bucks in the slots and see what happens. It can get very addicting so you have to have a pocket from the amount you plan to lose. Remember they don’t build casinos or give everything away for free if everyone wins all the time. I donated my share and we had a lot of fun watching others play. The shows were pretty good, especially Elvis. He was my favorite of all. The waters were pretty rough so we didn’t get to see any dolphin this time. Which was odd we always see so many of them. It was still nice to see out on the deck of the ship it’s so relaxing. My company was looking for a relaxing day today so we decided to just take a drive out to one of the winery’s we have and do a little wine tasting. The winery has a great tour and really nice wines, most of them I like. The winery is located in a very hilly part of Florida which is hardly ever seen. Florida is so flat and swampy. So in other words this is a very nice part of Florida that has rolling hills. Although it’s starting to get built up so soon there will be buildings and houses every where. Enjoy it while we can. So anyway we had a great tour at the winery and tasted all the wines they had to taste. We bought a couple of bottles to bring home to have for our last couple of dinners together. I’ve never been to the Citrus tower, however have driven by so many times. I’ve always wanted to go and check it out. So today we decided to go. The building is 226 feet tall and boy was it a long climb. Just kidding they did have a very quick elevator to take us to the top. Oh my gosh it was so much better than I thought. You could see for miles. It’s just a small observation area but was fantastic. They had great markings of what looked out each direction and how far it was to each coast. We got a lot of great photos there. We could see numerous lakes and even some of the orange groves still left in the area. It was a great site to visit. There is a lot of great history in the building. Even an old clock that chimes ever 15 minutes and we got to see the equipment which was very old. Luv & Kisses
We spent most of the morning and early afternoon in Tampa today. We thought it would be fun to go out for a boat ride. It as another beautiful day. Fortunately we know someone in Tampa with a boat we could use. We road around the lake for a while and watched all the gators lounging on the banks. There was a restaurant we could boat up to so we decided to take a break from the sun and have a drink. We got docked and as we walked up from the dock to the restaurant there were all kinds of baby gators right at the edge of the restaurant. Of course there were, all the guests were feeding them chicken bones from their wings. They were having a great feast. We had fun watching them as we had our drink. Then it was time to finish our cruise and head back in. The drive back was much better this time, no accidents. We had a great time in Tampa and probably should have stayed longer, there is so much to do there. Luv & Kisses,
